Schedule Overview

January 30, 2026

Friday - Arrival

This is when most volunteers arrive. We will fly into Quito and then travel to Ambato directly.

January 31, 2026

Saturday - On Saturday, we will try to arrange a tourist trip somewhere for volunteers, usually this is to Banos for those who have not been. Some will go and start to set up their respective facilities today. More on this later.

Evening - Hotel Florida welcome 7 pm

February 1, 2026

The first day

Sunday - Clinic and set up

This is the first official day of the mission work. We will have breakfast in the Hotel Florida, and then everyone will load into their respective buses and travel to their assigned location. Most of the locations will have their clinics, and the operating room and therapy staff will set up their areas. We will leave for the locations around 7:30-8 am and will return at the end of the day.

Feb 2- Feb 6, 2026

Monday - Friday - Work!

Monday through Friday will be OR and treatment days. The day will start after breakfast, and volunteers will head to their locations around 7:30-8 am. The days may last until the afternoon or as late as 9 pm, depending on your facility and how busy things are.

Feb 4th (WED), 2026

Party Night!

There will be a celebration dinner party on Wednesday night this year, replacing the traditional Friday night thank-you party. Please wear nice but comfortable clothes, as this is a celebration and usually involves dancing. The location varies year to year. It is a Western theme this year if you have something appropriate you would like to wear!

Feb 6/7, 2026

Friday/Saturday - Travel

Many will return to the Quito airport on Friday night for departure, and some may make other plans. 70% of the group usually leaves from Ambato to head to the airport on Friday late afternoon.
